Ten years ago, Andrew Hundley came home.
On June 9, 2016, Andrew walked out of prison. Less than two months later, he co-founded the Louisiana Parole Project with a vision to provide advocacy and reentry support to men and women who deserved a meaningful second chance.
Today, in recognition of Andrew’s 10-year anniversary home and Parole Project’s beginnings, we are launching our 10 for 10 Campaign.
The concept is simple: 1,000 people giving $10 between June 9 and June 12.
And thanks to a generous anonymous donor, your gift will go twice as far. Donations will be matched up to $10,000, meaning your $10 gift becomes $20.
Your gift can make an immediate impact. Every donation will support our Welcome Home Fund, which provides practical support for our next clients returning from prison. This may include clothing, hygiene items, food, IDs, phone access, transportation, medical needs, driving school or employment-related costs, and other essentials in their first days and weeks home.
This campaign is about more than raising money. Reaching 1,000 donors would send a powerful message that our community believes in second chances and wants to help more people come home with dignity, support, and opportunity.
Please give $10, share this campaign with a friend, or make an extra $10 gift in honor of someone who believes in second chances. Just include their name in the memo of your donation.
To date, Parole Project has helped nearly 700 people make the most of a meaningful second chance. With your help, we can continue welcoming more people home for the next 10 years and beyond.
Give $10. Double your impact. Help us welcome more people home.
