Andrew Hundley is the co-founder and executive director of Louisiana Parole Project, a nonprofit organization dedicated to expanding opportunities for incarcerated and formerly incarcerated people. Since 2016, Andrew has led the organization’s growth into one of the country’s leading providers of comprehensive reentry services, including transitional housing, workforce development, legal advocacy, and community-based support. Under his leadership, Parole Project has helped more than 700 men and women rebuild their lives after incarceration.
Andrew’s work focuses on improving public safety by building partnerships across the public, private, and nonprofit sectors. Drawing on both professional and lived experience, he has helped establish Parole Project as a trusted partner in expanding second chances and improving reentry practices throughout Louisiana and beyond.
In June 2016, Andrew became the first person in Louisiana who had been sentenced to life as a juvenile to be released on parole following the U.S. Supreme Court’s landmark Miller and Montgomery decisions. His experience helped shape his commitment to creating pathways for others to succeed after incarceration.
Andrew earned a Master of Criminology and Justice from Loyola University New Orleans, where he now serves as an adjunct faculty member, and an undergraduate degree from Louisiana State University.
