Kendall was incarcerated 13 years before being exonerated for a crime he didn’t commit and is deeply grateful to those who fought for his freedom. His goal is to start a janitorial business, and he enjoys making music during his downtime.
Jonathan
While in prison, Jonathan worked in the law library. After receiving his second chance, he dreams of becoming a litigation paralegal. He finds peace in playing chess, reading, and watching the sunset.
Charles
Before receiving his second chance, Charles served as a sobriety mentor and a steady source of support for others in prison. A proud father of four, he’s now rebuilding his life with purpose and is excited to see his mom in Georgia, who has supported him throughout his incarceration.
Ben
After his release from prison, Ben came to Parole Project ready to rebuild his life. He’s eager to start a career as a welder and is grateful to be home and reunited with his two children.
Tonka
Tonka is embracing his second chance after 29 years of incarceration. During his time in prison, he earned certifications in food safety and digital literacy, and became a trusted mentor —helping fellow incarcerated men prepare for and earn their HiSET diplomas. He is looking forward to getting his commercial driver's license.
Jermaine
At age 15, Jermaine received a life without parole sentence. After spending 30 years in prison, he is home and has reunited with his family. He is excited to begin working in the construction industry with his brother.
