Shaun, a former Parole Project client, joined our staff as a reentry specialist in 2023. Sentenced to life without parole in 1997 at the age of 17, he spent 26 years in prison before his release in March 2023. While in prison, he earned welding certifications and was a leader among his peers. As a reentry specialist, he continues to offer mentorship to some of those same peers who have also earned a second chance.
