On April 9, 2021, Parole Project Reentry Specialist Louis Gibson attended the Black Gala, sponsored by the LSU Chapter of the NAACP and held at the Atchafalaya Room on the school’s campus. A former juvenile lifer, Louis was recognized for his post-release, personal and professional accomplishments and the outstanding volunteer work he does in the community. The recognition was followed by a formal induction of Gibson as a lifetime, honorary member of the LSU NAACP Chapter.
