On February 20, our organization hosted the inaugural Parole Project Honors and Redemption Social at L’Auberge Casino. Guests came together to celebrate second chances and recognize two individuals whose work and dedication have changed many lives.

Robert Lancaster, a Parole Project co-founder and LSU Law Center assistant dean for experiential education, received the 2025 Hero Award for his leadership and parole advocacy. As director of LSU Law Center’s Parole and Reentry Clinic, he has guided law students in assisting clients at their parole hearings through compelling narratives about their rehabilitation. His dedication to the organization and commitment to justice reform has helped countless men and women earn a second chance.
“Every person deserves to be seen beyond their worst mistake,” Lancaster said. “I’m honored to play a role in helping people reclaim their futures.”

Lamar Advertising VP of Mergers and Acquisitions and Baton Rouge philanthropist Ross Reilly accepted the 2025 Impact Award for his sustained support of Parole Project’s mission. His commitment to our organization has provided valuable resources needed to help our clients with housing, employment opportunities, and the mentoring they need to rebuild their lives. Reilly believes that redemption is real.
“Redemption isn’t just a concept — it’s something we have to invest in,” Reilly said. “I’m proud to support Parole Project and the real change they make every day.”

The Parole Project Honors and Redemption Social offered more than just recognition. It provided a space for conversation, connection, and renewed commitment to our mission. Longtime supporters and new friends alike came together to share stories, build relationships, and reinforce the belief that our successes are everyone’s successes.
Thank you to all who attended!
