Abrahm Kantrow earned a BA in English Literature from Louisiana State University in 2023, where his studies explored the cultural narratives and power structures that shape our world. He completed his Master of Social Work at LSU in May 2025, specializing in policy and macro practice.
Abrahm’s path into social work was shaped by a lifelong commitment to social justice. As an undergraduate, he participated in local demonstrations for racial justice, reproductive rights, and LGBTQ+ equality. He also volunteered with STAR (Sexual Trauma Awareness and Response) throughout his graduate studies, providing survivors of sexual trauma with crisis support and referrals to local resources.
Abrahm joined Parole Project as a second-year MSW student intern and found a natural alignment with our mission and team. Now a full-time social worker for Parole Project’s Reentry Health Initiative, he finds fulfillment in connecting with clients, bearing witness to their humanity, and serving as both a professional and authentic collaborator in their reentry journeys. Abrahm values working for an organization that is client-centered and embraces innovative and responsive approaches to advocacy.
