Audrey Barton, MSW, LMSW

Social Worker

Audrey graduated with a Bachelor of Arts in Interdisciplinary Studies from Louisiana State University in 2021, which consists of three minors in social work, sociology, and psychology. During her time at LSU, she interned with Louisiana Parole Project, which ignited her dedication to social justice and reentry advocacy.

After completing her undergraduate degree, Audrey earned her Master of Social Work from the University of Houston in 2024. While in school, she completed a fellowship with Global Leaders in Behavioral Health Education, a training program for behavioral health service delivery with diverse populations.

Today, Audrey serves as a social worker for Parole Project’s Reentry Health Initiative, where she strives to make a difference in the lives of individuals navigating the challenges of reentry and recovery.

Outside of work, Audrey has a passion for animal welfare and is an advocate for dogs in shelters, working to raise awareness and support for these animals in need. She hopes to one day combine these two passions. Audrey is committed to creating positive change in her community and advancing social justice efforts both within and outside her professional role.
